Matt Stone graduated from Wayne State College in 1991 earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance. Upon graduating from college, Matt acquired real life experiences working in public accounting, corporate accounting, retail and wholesale sales, and as a small business owner.

With eight years of experience in the investment management and financial planning profession, he takes great pride in providing his clients with a high level of service, integrity, practical experience, and financial business knowledge. This is demonstrated by obtaining the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) and CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) designations. Within the past eight years, Matt formed his own Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), providing fee based investment management and financial/estate planning services to business owners.

In 2006, Matt formed Balance Business Solutions, Inc. He had observed a need among business owners who desired to increase the value of their business and to successfully maneuver its sale or transfer; while continuing to run their business at the same time. He knew that combining his financial/estate planning and business experience with his ability to relate to business owners and work with their advisors as an intermediary, he could help business owners achieve their goals. Today, Matt, as the principle of Balance Business Solutions, is dedicated to working hard to maximize what his clients have worked hard to achieve.
